Past
Aiveri had never seen heaven. He had never set foot through the golden gates. He never seen the brilliant colors that couldn't be reproduced on earth nor hear the beautiful angelic chorus that rose from every corner of the most holy kingdom. He only knew heaven from the stories that his parents told him growing up. He had been born forsaken. He didn't know the exact details as they never told him, but his parents had been casted out of heaven before he had been born. Since, he was within his mother's belly when she was banished Aiveri shared the same fate. They expected agents of heaven to come to collect Aiveri when he was born. It was what had been done when other angels had been casted out of heaven while pregnant. They had accepted the idea that when the agents came, they would never see their son again, never watch him grow and hear his laughter, but as long as he was in heaven, they could accept this. He should not have to pay the price for their sins. The agents, however, never came, and his parents became consumed with hatred towards the Holy kingdom for forsaking an innocent.
They tried to get Aiveri to share their feelings, but much to their frustration they could not convince him. He often asked them why should he share their desire for revenge? Heaven only existed in stories for him. It was impossible for him to miss something he never had. This only enraged his parents more. They tried telling him that he should angry over the mere concept that he didn't truly understand what had been taken. Much to his parents' chagrin this did not convince Aiveri to share their feelings. He told them that he found the earth too remarkable to ever look towards the stars and miss a distant land he had never and was unlikely ever to set foot on. It wasn't long after this conversation that he decided to leave his home and explore the world, telling his parents that perhaps out there will be something to convince him to share their feelings towards Heaven. Although, he knew that this was not likely to happen. It was just the only way he could convince his parents to let him leave without much of an argument or attempt to drag him back. While only sixteen, he saw the world for what it was. He understood it held as much beauty as it did horrors.
He wandered earth for some time before he stumbled upon them. Twin sisters who remained him of his parents. They were poor wretched things filled with anger and hatred brought on from a life of constant pain and suffering. Any ounce of kindness or affection they were shown was often revealed to be nothing more than a cruel joke. They were understandably mistrusting of him, but eventually one of the sisters warmed up to him, the ice that had formed around her heart melting. This did not make her twin happy. She saw Aiveri as a threat to her sister well-being and decided to kill him, but the sister Aiveri had befriended stopped her sister before she could complete the deed. Infuriated by her sister's actions, she banished her from her sight, making it clear that she never wanted to see her again. It was here that she decided to form an organization of supernatural investigators that would protect people against the supernatural including her twin sister who would not doubt be enraged over being banished from her sister's side. It was, also, around this time that Aiveri started to affectionally call the sister he remained with "Fearless Leader."
At first, she only allowed supernatural beings to join the organization, but over the years realized that humans possessed the abilities to hunt monsters as well. Granted not all of them, only the ones that had supernatural somewhere in their ancestry. She discovered a way to bring these abilities out without altering the genetic makeup of the human. It only required the humans to get a tattoo. She had originally only required the humans to get the tattoo until Aiveri went on for about thirty minutes about how unfair the entire thing was. Now that humans had to get tattooed there were no way they could be considered equals. Regardless of how she tried to spin it, everyone was going to view those tattoos as evidence of their differences. Exasperated, the fearless leader declared that the tattoo was a requirement of anyone who wished to be a member of the organization.
Present
Once Valerian completed his training, the pair are rarely apart both on and off the field of battle. They are regarded as quite the team upon the field, moving together in perfect harmony. He had vowed to help Valerian on his quest to defeat the fearless leader's sister so he can return to the family that he had been forced to leave behind and go back to his normal human existence. While Aiveri would miss his friend dearly he wants nothing more than for him to be happy and he believes that this course of action is the only way.
